Selma Café: March 13, 2009

I met up with friends today at Selma for a very quick breakfast (I wedged it into a miniscule time-slot between getting Max off to school and a special, cannot-and-would-not-miss event at his school.) My plan was, I’d take a few shots before my friends arrived and then put the camera away to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. But the best laid plans…
I hadn’t banked on there being TWO adorable little girls in the café! All bets were off: I had no choice but to become their personal paparazzi, shamelessly pursuing them for whatever scraps of attention they might throw my way. And there were many other people and things (and chickens!) I wanted to photograph. I’m convinced that the only way I’ll ever be able to have a truly unharried breakfast at Selma will be to leave my camera at home. Maybe in a few weeks.
